THE CHALLENGE
Intergenerational dialogue within local LGBTQ+ communities is often fragmented, with valuable lived experiences remaining unrecorded. The objective was to create a cohesive publication and digital archive that captures, preserves, and juxtaposes these personal histories across different age groups in Leeds.

THE SOLUTION
Structured around six core themes of the Pride flag (Life, Healing, Sunlight, Nature, Harmony, Spirit), Phases pairs oral history interviews from younger and older queer residents side-by-side. By contrasting personal anecdotes across generations, the editorial design creates a dialogue between eras, highlighting shared triumphs, shifting struggles, and lasting community resilience.
